Over the past seven years, WTJX has held two major fundraising activities each year. The Taste of Two Islands and the Cat in Bag Auction. This past year we added a third - the WTJX Summer Golf Classic.

Taste of Two Islands
The WTJX Taste of Two Islands and the Second Thursday in November continue to align to make palates in the Virgin Islands excited, delighted and satisfied. This year, November 10th, will be year number 6 for the WTJX major annual fundraiser supported by the food and beverage community on St.Thomas and St.John. We salute and offer halos and kudos to all of the restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine food and drink that continue to make this possible!

The 2011 Taste of Two Islands will be held at the Mark Marin Center at Antilles School for the second consecutive year, with the hopes of surpassing last years amount. We once again will enjoy the exciting music of Spectrum band with space provided for your dancing pleasure. Come early, so that you have time to taste them all. Last year it was almost impossible to taste from all 41 participants and this year we plan to make it 50! Doors open at 5.30pm.
Tickets are on sale now! For the past 6 years our ticket price has remained at $50.00, but this year in support of all of you who have had to experience an 8% cut, we feel your pain and offer our own 8% cut if you purchase your tickets before October 15, ($46.00) Tickets can be gotten by calling WTJX at 774-6255, or from any staff member . This year we also have two ticket outlets for your convenience -- Home Again in Red Hook and Essentric Shoe Store in Charlotte Amalie. Don't miss the carnival and symphony on your taste buds.

Cat in Bag
If its a beautiful Sunday in May, it's time for the WTJX Cat in Bag Auction, supported by the Hotel and Retailers of the Virgin Islands. A huge fun affair where bidding is done blindly. You don't know what you are bidding on just where it comes from and then at the end there are the friendly bidding wars helping us to raise even more money to support local programming

Summer Golf Classic
This past July WTJX took over the Carambola Golf Club when it held its first Summer Golf Classic on St.Croix. Come back for more information on next years Summer Golf Classic.

Looking ahead to 2012
Next year WTJX will be 40 years old and will be embarking on a year of fundraising activities.
Beginning in March with a telethon and culminating in August with the celebration gala. Stay tuned for more details.
