The Soul Show

Soul on WTJX-FM- Saturdays, 8 - 11 pm

The Soul Show is a progressive musical adventure into soul music, its origins, and its derivatives. It is a three-hour weekly program which covers upwards of five decades of music per week, presenting this thread in a cohesive and intelligent manner. Special features and themes are frequently incorporated to add depth and enrich content (Prince's legacy, Black History Month, Women's History Month, interviews with Third World, Nona Hendryx of Labelle, James Brown bandleader Fred Wesley, Corinne Bailey Rae, Dwele, etc.). The Soul Show has adeptly identified emerging artists such as Grammy winners Lizzo and The Robert Glasper Experiment.  The program spans the many decades of R&B in a thoughtfully curated fashion, with a style to energize an eager audience.
