Governor Bryan Travels to National Governors Association Meetings

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. is out of the Territory for the National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meetings in Washington, D.C., and he also has scheduled meetings with a number of federal agencies. 

During the NGA conference, Governor Bryan, who is a co-chairman of the NGA’s Community Renewal Task Force with Missouri Governor Mike Parson, also will be attending a reception at the White House with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. He also will attend the Senior Plenary Meeting of the Interagency Group on Insular Affairs as part of the NGA conference with officials from all of the territories. 

Governor Bryan also is scheduled to testify before the Senate Committee on Natural Resources with Senators Joe Manchin and Lisa Murkowski. 

He also will meet with FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswall, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Adrianne Todman, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Gregory Meeks of New York, Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho, Rep. Bryan Steil of Wisconsin and a ranking member of the Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York. 

Other meetings the Governor has scheduled while he is in the nation’s capital include sessions with representatives of the U.S. Departments of Transportation, Commerce, Interior, Health and Human Services, Labor, Energy, Agriculture, State and the Environmental Protection Agency. 

During Governor Bryan’s absence, Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach will be the Acting Governor.
