Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory Tests Positive for COVID-19

Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The Senate President who is fully vaccinated and boosted, began self-quarantining on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 after notification of a positive COVID-19 case in her office, and underwent testing after experiencing mild symptoms.

Frett-Gregory was scheduled to present the Official Keys to the Virgin Islands to four outstanding Virgin Islanders today at a ceremony in the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Chambers. Senate Vice President Novelle E. Francis, Jr. will make the official presentations on her behalf.

In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and the V.I. Department of Health guideline, Frett-Gregory will continue to self-quarantine until May 9, 2022. All her public appearances have been cancelled. “Let us continue to stay safe and adhere to the Covid-19 protocols,” said Frett-Gregory.
