Olympic Delegation

We are pleased to announce our delegation for the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo this July! Originally planned for 2020, the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games have been delayed for a year due to the pandemic. This has been a huge complication in the usually challenging and stressful process of training and qualifying for our athletes, and athletes all over the world. We are incredibly proud of these athletes' hard work during this unusually difficult year.

Olympian Eddie Lovett is back on the track for the 110 Hurdles event in Track and Field. Eddie represented the Virgin Islands at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. https://worldathletics.org/athletes/virgin-islands/eddie-lovett-14425484

Swimmer Natalia "Nati" Kuipers is the current National record for the 400 freestyle and will be swimming that event in Tokyo. https://www.fina.org/athletes/1057155/natalia-jean-kuipers

Swimmer Adriel Sanes earned the Olympic B Cup timing in breaststroke earlier this year. He will be competing in the 200 breaststroke event in Tokyo. https://www.fina.org/athletes/1019822/adriel-sanes

Archer Nicholas D'Amour ranks 9th in the world for the men's Olympic recurve and will compete in this event in Tokyo. Archery became a recognized Olympic Sport in the Virgin Islands in 2014. Nicholas will be the first to represent the Virgin Islands in archery at an Olympic Games. https://worldarchery.sport/profile/22809/nicholas-d'amour/statistics?category=Recurve%20Men
