The Hialeah Dentist allegedly shot by two Virgin Islanders has died one month after being shot going into her office on November 19. The two men, Ralph Benjamin 39 and Hector Ledesma are now looking at murder charges. The Dentist 59-year-old Carmen Ramirez was to testify against Ledesma’s brother, Jose, accused of stealing 40 thousand from her.


Governor Albert Bryan Jr., Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach and all 15 senators of the 33rd Legislature, have identified funding to meet the V.I. Water and Power Authority’s outstanding obligation to its propane supplier, Vitol. Governor Albert Bryan provides a synopsis of the meeting.


The V.I. Department of Justice staff has adopted two families for the holiday in conjunction with the Family Resource Center to contribute to a family on St. Thomas and the with Women’s Coalition to contribute to families in St. Croix. The staff gave monetary donations for the purchase of Christmas gifts and personal care items for each family. The families consist of a mother and five children on St. Thomas and on St. Croix, a mother and six children.
