On Thursday at approximately 7:57 p.m., Jahcori Potter, 20 of the Bovoni Housing Community, was arrested by V.I.P.D. officers and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm. V.I. Police officers were dispatched to the Bovoni Housing Community about shots fired. Upon their arrival, the officers attempted to conduct interviews with residents, when Potter grabbed a backpack and fled the area. As officers pursued Potter, he threw the backpack in nearby bushes, police pursued him until he was apprehended, Police found the backpack with a high-powered assault rifle inside of it. Potter was placed under arrest. Unable to make bail of $25,000, Mr. Potter was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
Governor Albert Bryan Jr travels to Washington D.C., today to attend the annual winter meeting of the National Governors Association and to meet with senior White House administration officials.
While in Washington, Governor Bryan will also participate in an Interagency Group on Insular Areas. Governor Bryan is scheduled to meet with Department of Treasury officials for talks on his administration’s proposed revenue streams to avert the insolvency of the Government Employees Retirement System (GERS).

- February 13 at the Red Cross Building at 8:30 a.m.
- February 27 at the Ward Building at 5:00 p.m.
- February 27 at the Red Cross Building at 8:30 a.m.
