Governor Bryan Jr. says the financial impact the virus has created is a heavy hit, saying that many businesses closed their doors, as social distancing and other emergency measures were implemented. Bryan said the U.S. Virgin Islands will still be “taking it slow” by easing restrictions internally before opening up “our doors to the rest of the world.” Putting in place measures – such as monitors, cameras, heat testing, and test kits – to control the risk from visitors coming in. An announcement will be made today about what any kind of reopening will look like as the territory pushes closer to the April 30 stay-at-home deadline. The Department of Health revealed the fourth coronavirus death in the U.S. Virgin Islands. details as to which island the death occurred, or information on the victim's gender or age was not revealed. As of Sunday, April 26 there were 776 tested, 57 Positive, 700 Negative, 19 Pending, 51 Recovered, and 4 Deaths.


On April 26 at approximately 1:56 p.m dispatched officers to a reported robbery at the Breezez Bar and Restaurant in Estate Golden Rock. The female victim reported that while sitting in her vehicle outside of Breezez Bar and Restaurant waiting for her order, a young, slim, dark-skinned male wearing a white shirt and a dark-colored doo-rag over his face pointed a gun to her head and demanded that she hand over her purse. The suspect threatened to kill the victim and she complied by giving her handbag which contained cash and documents. The suspect then fled the scene.


The British Virgin Islands is to reopen today, on a restricted level, the current curfew order will from today at 6:01 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. daily for the next 14 days and businesses, including the government’s cargo port, will be allowed to reopen on a restricted basis.
