The Department of Health reported the first coronavirus death in the territory. They have not provided the name of the person or district where the death occurred pending notification of next of kin. They have tested a total of 266 people. The territory’s total confirmed cases to 42 — 12 on Croix, 28 on St. Thomas, and two on St. John. They are 18 results pending and 34 recovered.
Governor Bryan stated that both hospitals are getting prepared for an overflow of coronavirus patients if necessary. The Army Corps of Engineers has already looked for sights for extra beds if necessary.
